RendaqLegal
Effective date: 1 July 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to the Rendaq property and rental management platform ("Rendaq", "we", "us"), operated under IONIC ENTERPRISES (Udyam Registration Number: UDYAM-KR-03-0729555), registered address No. 92, Heelalige, Ground Floor, Hilalige Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560099, India. It explains how payments made through our payment gateway partner (currently Instamojo) are handled, and the circumstances and process under which such payments are refunded. It should be read together with our Terms of Service.
Rendaq does not sell a one-time product. Owners fund a prepaid wallet that pays for a recurring, per-unit monthly service fee, automatically deducted from the wallet on the 1st of every month for as long as the account holds sufficient balance. You can fund this wallet in either of two ways:
Either way, a payment made to us is an advance payment for future months of service, not a purchase of goods that is "delivered" at checkout.
New owners get a free trial period at signup with no payment involved. If you choose not to fund your wallet before the trial ends, your account simply moves to a read-only state — no charge is ever made without your own top-up action or active auto-debit authorisation.
Funding for a longer period (e.g. 12/24/36+ months) earns a loyalty discount on the per-unit rate, shown to you before payment. Each top-up — whether manual or via the auto-debit subscription — is tracked as its own tranche. Monthly deductions and any refund always consume the oldest tranche first (FIFO), and your blended discount percentage is recalculated automatically whenever a tranche is fully consumed or refunded, so it always reflects a fair weighted average of whatever top-ups remain.
If you opt into the auto-debit subscription, a fixed amount is charged to your authorised bank account/UPI on a monthly cycle to keep your wallet topped up. You can cancel this authorisation at any time from Wallet & Subscription inside the app (or directly with your bank/UPI app) — cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle; it does not reverse amounts already debited. If an auto-debit attempt fails (e.g. insufficient funds at your bank), we simply do not credit that cycle's amount — your account is never charged a penalty for a failed auto-debit, and it follows the same read-only rule as running out of wallet balance under a manual top-up (see Section 1).
There is no fixed-term contract and no lock-in period. You may stop funding your wallet at any time — whether that means simply not making another manual top-up, or cancelling your auto-debit subscription per Section 3. Your account becomes read-only once the balance is exhausted, and reactivates as soon as you top up again or your auto-debit resumes.
Because a top-up is an advance payment for service not yet rendered, your unused balance is refundable to you at any time on request, subject to the following:
You can raise a refund request yourself from Wallet & Subscription → Refund wallet to bank inside the app. Your wallet balance and transaction history are updated immediately on request. The corresponding transfer back to your original payment method (bank account / UPI / card used for the top-up, via Instamojo) is initiated by our team and is completed within 7 (seven) business days.
Referral credits (the one-time discount credited to your referral wallet when someone you refer becomes a paying owner) are a promotional benefit, not a cash payment you have made to us. They are non-transferable, cannot be withdrawn or refunded in cash, and can only be used to offset future monthly deductions until the credit is exhausted.
If an amount was debited from your bank/card/UPI but your wallet was not credited (for example, due to a payment gateway or network error), please contact us at support@rendaq.in with your payment reference. We will verify the transaction with Instamojo/your bank and, where the debit is confirmed without a corresponding wallet credit, either credit your wallet or process a full refund to your original payment method — normally within 7 business days of verification, subject to your bank's own processing timelines for reversals.
If you raise a chargeback or dispute directly with your bank/card network instead of contacting us first, it will be handled through Instamojo's standard dispute resolution process. We encourage you to reach out to us directly first — most issues can be resolved faster through a direct refund than a bank dispute.
For refund requests, failed-payment queries, or any other billing grievance, write to support@rendaq.in or use the Contact us tab on the Wallet & Subscription page inside the app. We aim to acknowledge every request within 2 business days.
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our business practices or applicable law. The "Effective date" above will always reflect the latest revision. Continued use of Rendaq after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
