Privacy Policy

Effective date: 28 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Rendaq property and rental management platform ("Rendaq", "we", "us"), operated under IONIC ENTERPRISES (Udyam Registration Number: UDYAM-KR-03-0729555), registered address No. 92, Heelalige, Ground Floor, Hilalige Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560099, India, collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data of owners, tenants, and other users, in accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (including the Reasonable Security Practices Rules, 2011). We do not offer Rendaq outside India, and your personal data is primarily stored and processed in India.

1. Information we collect

Account & profile information

  • Name, email address, phone number, and password (for login).
  • For owners: business name, address, city/locality, and GST number (if you provide one).
  • For tenants: the last 4 digits of PAN and/or Aadhaar (used only to verify identity and detect duplicate tenant records — we do not collect or store your full PAN or Aadhaar number).

Property & tenancy data

  • Property, unit, rent, deposit, lease, and tenancy details you enter to operate your account.
  • Photos you upload of properties/units, and any marketplace listing content.

Financial & transaction data

  • Rent invoice and payment records, wallet balance and transaction history, and payment references.
  • We do not collect or store your full card number, CVV, or bank account/UPI credentials — these are handled directly by our payment gateway partner (currently Instamojo) and its regulated banking partners.

Usage & device data

  • Standard log data (IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, timestamps) collected automatically when you use our website or apps.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and operate your account and provide the Rendaq service.
  • To generate rent invoices, process wallet top-ups/deductions, and facilitate payments through our payment gateway partner.
  • To send service communications — rent reminders, receipts, work-order updates, and account notices — via email, SMS, or WhatsApp.
  • To verify tenant identity and detect duplicate tenant records across owners.
  • To display marketplace listings you choose to publish.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the platform, and to comply with applicable law.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

3. Consent

By creating an account and using Rendaq, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal data as described in this Policy. Where a specific processing activity requires separate consent under applicable law (for example, sending you WhatsApp notifications), we will seek that consent at the relevant point in the app.

4. Sharing of information

We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients, solely to operate the service:

  • Payment gateway partner (currently Instamojo) — to process wallet top-ups and payments.
  • Cloud hosting and database infrastructure provider (Supabase) — to securely store and serve your account and application data.
  • Communication service providers — to deliver SMS, WhatsApp, and email notifications on our behalf.
  • Other users, where relevant to the service — e.g. an owner and their mapped tenant can see each other's contact and tenancy details; a published marketplace listing is visible to prospective tenants who view it.
  • Law enforcement or regulators — where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rendaq or its users.

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure with encryption in transit and access controls restricting who can view it. We follow reasonable security practices consistent with the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Rendaq and IONIC ENTERPRISES will never ask you, by email, phone call, or message, to share your OTP, debit/credit card PIN, or net-banking/mobile-banking password. Never share these with anyone claiming to represent Rendaq. If you receive such a request or believe you have already shared this information with a fraudulent party, please report it to your bank and to local law enforcement immediately, and let us know at support@rendaq.in.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active, and thereafter for as long as necessary to comply with legal, accounting, or tax obligations (for example, financial and invoicing records), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account data at any time (see Section 7); some records may be retained where law requires it.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data, subject to our retention obligations above.
  • Withdraw consent for a specific processing activity (e.g. WhatsApp notifications), where consent is the basis for that activity.
  • Raise a grievance about how your data is handled, and receive a response within a reasonable time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to support@rendaq.in.

8. Cookies and local storage

Rendaq uses browser local storage and similar technologies (not third-party advertising cookies) to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences (such as theme and read/unread status). We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.

9. Children's privacy

Rendaq is not directed at, and should not be used by, individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Third-party links

Marketplace listings or communications may reference or link to third-party sites or contact details (e.g. a prospective tenant's phone number). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of parties outside Rendaq.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Effective date" above always reflects the latest revision. Continued use of Rendaq after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

12. Grievance officer

For any privacy-related complaints or grievances, contact our Grievance Officer at support@rendaq.in. We aim to acknowledge every request within 2 business days.

13. Governing law

This Policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
